A Blood-Soaked Opera… From Vermont?

from the official website:

“Fundraising for Erzsébet: The Opera is ongoing through the summer of 2011. The opera/monodrama on the life and death of Countess Erzsébet Báthory will take place in three locations during late October 2011. It will star Lisa Jablow and the Vermont Contemporary Music Ensemble with stage design by Pavel Kraus and production and lighting design by Jan Herder. The Twilight films have nothing on this true story!”

And in my own backyard, even!

Looks like a good time, and I hope it takes off. Even if the whole “bathing in the blood of virgins” thing isn’t entirely disproved.
