Although a full blog post on the trip is likely to be posted in the near future, here are some of the pics from my Portland birthday extravaganza. Yes, I should have taken more, though access to the more personal shots is available to close friends with Flickr accounts. Enjoy!
See Terror Transmission’s Monster Bash 2010 pics at the Terror Transmission Flickr page, in the Evil Events and Terrifying Travels section, starting with this shot. Of course, you should also check out each and every episode of our podcast! That just goes without saying. Oh, and Happy Birthday, America! Here’s my post from 4th of July 2008.
A lot of people have been asking me if I did anything for this Walpurgisnacht weekend. I suppose I could have gone out-of-state to spend time with old friends, and while that was terribly tempting, I decided to stay here in Burlington. It’s the first weekend I’ve had since school started and, without the albatross of homework, papers, and finals around my neck, I wanted to just spend the time […]
Before my pals and I got to the Boston area, we quickly stopped off at the two Apple Stores in New Hampshire (quickly, being the key word there, in case my NH friends are reading this) because we wanted to check out the iPad. Yeah, I get it. They look like a good time and I’ll get one when I feel it fits my needs. While at one of these […]
Went to the Boston area this past weekend, mainly for the first M.I.T. Flea of the year (which I may or may not go into details about later in the week, given my insane pre-finals prep). And although a couple of folks owe me some additional pics, here are the few I have thus far. Knock yourself out. Oh, yeah, and ching-chang-chong.
Look at their faces! So very, very guilty of something. You just know that they’re scheming some mad plot. Maybe it was back in August 2009? Or, maybe it’s coming soon…
Go git yerself some here.
Yes, I know, it’s a year-old model and hardly “retro.” Well, one day it will be, so I’m just preparing for the future. I’m very forward-thinking, you know. Anyhoo, this is #28 in the Apple Retro Collection, for those keeping count. It’s the aluminum body model and not the plastic one that came in black or white. The video below goes into further details on the specs — LOTS of […]
As an excuse to both promote the podcast and have a lot of fun, I and the other half of Terror Transmission had a shindig in the area. Usually, I’m a bit wary of staying in town for Halloween because it’s invariably lame and makes me wish I was somewhere else… like going to one of the places I’ve usually visited (out of state) for the observance. This time was, […]
After seven years of heavily milking my old G4 Mirror Door, I decided it was time to get something a bit more powerful under the hood (though, in all fairness, that G4 still has a lot of life to it, and I might end up turning it into a media server or something along those lines). So, I went down to Small Dog and got myself an Intel iMac! (Great […]
18 hours of labor, 53 pieces of wood, 88 degrees outside, and not a spot on my dress shirt (though, I did wear an old and worn pair of slacks, which didn’t exactly fare well). The loft bed is actually part one of a two-part project as underneath this miniature fortress will be what will be deemed “The Command Center” — which will come in stages and be posted about […]
Thanks to my pal, John, I found a box of goodies on my office chair the other day. Amidst the external ZIP drive, some cables, a couple of uncommon adapters, a cable modem, and other tech tidbits, I also found a working, in decent shape, and very much free laptop for my Apple Retro Collection. (If curious, this is what the Wallstreet looks like closed.) Sure, it’s not the Pismo, […]
